Artist James Seehafer produces signs along the roadside of the mind. Hand painted official highway department signage to create enigmatic Massurrealist emblems which he then photographs along the highway capturing the local landscape in the resultant photographs. As if to suggest directions to a road less trodden, Seehafer confiscates the official vernacular to the use of art inviting the viewer to pursue trails into the landscape of the imagination.
